Boom! Just done a private trade on another forum. Swapped a load of stuff i cleared out for a lot of ecw toys [edit removed broken links]

That gives me a bit of variety to my army, as well as the start of a scots army (should I ever get round to it!) :D

Nice haul there!

Am at the point with most of my starter batallia being assembled & with at least 3 colours on them now. If my camera were working I'd take a pic. I'm going with a lot of greys (coats) and browns (lots of everything else) since I didn't want to go with traditional new model army red or other bright colours. I also figured it was the colour scheme least likely to be picked by the rest of you. :p

Well, I'm decided. I'm definitely using first battle of Newbury as a basis for my forces so expect some of the following:

Foot:
King's lifeguard (red)
Gerard (blue)
Byron (not sure yet!)
Rupert

Horse:
Rupert
Byron

Cavalry will be buff (shock!)

With regards to standards I'm not sure wether to use the standards that come in the warlord boxes or to buy spangly ones. These fellas make nice standards:

GMB are said to be some of the best and very pretty but boy are they a pretty penny as well.

Battle Flag look nice, and 2 flags per sheet for £1.85

Redoubt do nice looking flags to. (I have some of the ACW range) 2 lags per sheet for £2.50

Flags of War look good to, normally 3 flags per sheet for £1.75

I have the redoubt Rupert standard and cornet (came with the man himself) and for some reason the Royal Standard too. Obviously lots of the warlord ones. I'll look at those other links as well. Cheers for posting!

[edit] Flags of War has the Gerard flags! Woot! Much cheaper than the ones i linked too! And there is no way on earth I'd want to try and paint the devices on them!:
