Terrain

Post by Spurious » Tue Aug 30, 2011 3:45 am

How are we off for suitable terrain?
I don't actually own an old boxed set so have been endeavoring to make some by hand (mostly small industrial stuff so far, no towers yet), but as Necromunda really needs a multilevel environment to get the best out of it (and avoid dead ends, unassailable camping spots ans so on) I'm kinda worried we may not have enough suitable items.

Yakromunda handily has templates for all the card bits that came with the boxed sets in .pdf form (with instructions) in the library section if anyone wants to go down that route: (direct file link, hopefully) http://www.yakromunda.com/index.php?pag ... ry&fid=109

The more barrels, crates, walkways, ramps, towers, staircases and general urban detritus (not the troll unless playing It Camp from the Sump, Monster hunt or a Scavvy gang) the better!

We have what we got I'm afraid. I did spend a couple of hours last night making some basic gang ways for tonight. If we need to make more I'll get more done for next month. We do have a lot of tyre blockades some were in one of the boxes.

I'm bringing the stuff I've still got. There's some terrain at the club that will work well though, bastions, ruined bunkers, its the walkways that are key really.

Well, it's been slow due to things like plague, Colours, and plague again, but I finally have a bunch of reasonably useable terrain mostly kinda sort of sorted.

A few things need tweaking (posters, warning labels, more graffiti and so on) and some have since that pic was taken.
There's a few other bits like a walkway and some other pieces in the works such as more barrels, crates, loot counters and bits of machinery (also been building with a mind towards Tomorrow's War and cover-heavy scenarios for that) that should help add a bit of variety amongst the towers and walkways I hope.
