Waagh Legginittt!

Post by Chilledenuff » Thu May 12, 2011 3:32 pm

O&G sillyness:

12 x Squigs 96 points

14 x Arrer Boyz 98 points

2 x Night Goblins with hand weapon and shield 6 points

200 points.

Although 2 questions have arisen with this. Will squigs go wild without handlers? If so then the above list is null and void. In which case 8 squig hoppers are also 96 points. The second question is fanatics. If I wished to take fanatics how would they hide? Would they be with one of the single goblins?

Squigs would have to be fielded in base contact with handlers, in at least the ratio specified in the O&G book.
If the ratio falls, for any reason, the rules form the O&G book will come into effect. Haven't read them yet.

Fanatics would have to be fielded within a unit at least the minimum size specified in the O&G book.
If you split the unit below this size during the game, the fanatic must be shoved out in a random direction as there are no longer enough gobbos to keep him contained. I won't be harsh and force the same if the unit is reduced by casualties though.

Its a case of 2 gobbos per 3 squigs otherwise they go wild and everyone in 12" takes d6 hits so this makes them a no go for the campaign to all intents and purposes, however i thought i'd quote the following for truth :shhh: :

Not that it matters in the grand scheme of things.. I have SOOOO many ideas bouncing around my head for this campaign :D

Seeems harsh, why a random direction? I would have thought the gobbos would release in a direction of thier choosing before splitting up?

In Warhammer a unit of 20 gobbos is minimum unit size. However in theory you could drop to 1 goblin hiding 3 fanatics due to casulties so this tallies with the warhammer rules ;)

I fell into your cunning trap.

In that case, feel free to take you squigs. The lack of handlers effect will apply at the beginning of your first turn.

psh, this is 3rd draft list... We'll wait for the umpteenth before I'm even close to a final list. Still contemplating the God of Law list i suggested the other day. Can't use greenskins for this

Aye, one of the things which may make them a popular choice.

Though at 65 points they are still fairly garbage for what they do, still against something like this they may be a little over powered as they cant really be beaten through static combat res.
