No escalation. KISS.

As only 50% can be special, do folks think any other restrictions will be needed? Restrictions which nerf specific armies will need to be considered very carefully.

Scrap that! That would almost be competitive! Time to go down a fluffy route (whoda thunk it?). Some old skool fluff here, but it will be the basis for my warband (it's that or a shocking slaaneshi army, although i will need more tallarn flesh paint to paint it!):

Arianka (Goddess of Law and Discipline). Legend has it that her body is in magic stasis in a glass coffin under the Kislev city of Prague. Imprisoned by an unnamed Chaos god (probably Tzeentch). There are set of crystal keys to unlock the coffin. Many people have attempted to locate these keys with no success. It is not even known how many keys there are or whether they're together or scattered.

So a warband (don't care that this is a mordheim expression, it covers the 200 point army size better than army!) based on Arianka cultists looking for the crystal keys. Not sure wether to use chaos or empire as a basis for this, but it would mean lots of shiny armour and rightous comments (although Judge Dredd references will, no doubt, abound) :D

Warband is an appropriate term. I've created a new board on the forum for the campaign, so we don't get in anyone elses way.

I'm hoping to take part in this, but not had time yet to sit down and try and get my head around the rules.

Also, I'm very unlikely to make the July 5 start, as the due date for baby #2 is July 2, so... ;-)

Why no Rare ( waywatchers…cough…) ?

that's really unfluffy, and fluffiness should win out.
