Right, been looking again at what I have, and the Champ of Champ rules, and I've tweaked it one more time.

HQ: Wolf Guard Battle Leader w/ Runic Armour + Melta Bombs (95)
Troops: Blood Claws x 10, Plasma Gun, Power Fist (185)
Troops: Grey Hunters x 10, Plasma Gun x 2, Power Fist w/ Drop Pod (220)

Total: 500

It's a trial set-up only, but will probably form the basis of the first milestone. Crucially it's all based on models I now have and am building, so hopefully it'll be at least undercoated by Tuesday.

Okay, I'm officially sick to death of filing mold lines now. I'm sure Space Marines of old consisted of far fewer parts than the newer GW ones... 10 individual pieces per marine! What?!

well phil, in the dark furture theres only....................mold lines...............lol.
just be thankful your not doing any forge world models, as they can be realy bad for flashing and mold lines, mainly the older kits

Hmm, and I was eyeing up the FW Land Raider... maybe I'll stick with standard GW stuff ;-)

the newer FW kits are a lot better with not as much crap on the models, so less cleaning, so any recent additions to there line up should be ok, its just there older range which can need a lot of clean up work.
also another thing wit the resin kits is, that all resin parts will need a good wash in warm soapy water to get rid of any mold release agents.
If you ever pick one up phil, ask here for any advice and tips on resin kits, theres a few of us that have built em, so be happy to adice

Update:

As of last night, all models for the first 500pts are now constructed, and all but the Drop Pod undercoated.
