Starting tonight.. the flying saucer (nee monolith).

Ingredients:
2 x Frisbees, one medium, one small
4 x Cable Ties (Long)
3 x Polystryene balls (30mm Diameter)
Polystyrene Sheet (Ran out of foamboard! :( )
PVA Glue/Black paint mix (make sure you cover polystyrene before spray painting people!)
Brass Spray paint

Does anyone have a spare 40k flying base (as seen on the SMurf and Gaurd flyers?)

They couldn't do any worse than Matt Smith.

No? I'll disagree with you on that :D Anyhoo, back on topic:

Saucer is now built (looks like 2 frisbees stuck together at mo) Is very heavy (due to silicon being used as an adhesive (fills and sticks but is also slightly rubbery so if it's dropped it shouldn't (Ha!) break). I'm thinking what to use as a flying stand  . My current thinking is a metal pipe (approx 1" diameter) painted white with a greenish tinge. Then the base itself will have scorch marks painted around this so it looks like the saucer is firing some kind of "uber death beam of doom"(tm). Opinions?

ok, saucer painted (still looks like 2 frisbees glued together though :? ) flying stand started, it's not standard sized though! It's CD sized, death beam looks kinda cool though. Just need to do the cracked earth around the base and I'm done!

last dalek based last night... this means (cue dodgy synthesysed (spelt in a manner unbecoming to us all) fanfare) the army is done (the dalek is a spare to make sure I'd painted 250 for this months path of hobby)

Pickies will be taken tomorrow night

Just want to say - well done for completing the army! The imaginative approach wasn't a surprise, coming from you, but it got lots of people talking and looked great/hilarious on the tabletop. Really pleased to have had this little lot created for my campaign! Was definitely one of the highlights as far as I'm concerned :-)
