Grimdark Necron BBC Scifi TV crossover nonsense

Post by Chilledenuff » Thu Dec 09, 2010 11:50 am

I've mused on it before but i'll take this opportunity to do it!...

DALEKS!

That's right, wheeled dustbins with plungers! I'll be using the necron codex and mostly miniatures from black tree design:

black tree designs

Davros will be a necron lord:

Nightbringer will be a timelord and his assistant (fluffwise this is a pretty good crossover, nightbringer devoured the necrontyr and Dr Who ended the time war, thus killing off the daleks, and Rose Tyler wiped them from history) I'll be using Dr Who and Amy Pond from crooked dice :
I'll have them stood in front of a blue police box on a large base

Not sure which pond to use yet though (probably the non wpc one though)

beyond that daleks will be be warriors/destroyers, the destroyers will be daleks mounted on flying bases (possibly 2 to a base to differentiate between them and standard daleks, money being the constraint here)

I'll possibly scratchbuild a saucer to be a monolith, dependant on motivation :P

Crooked Dice also make pigmen, possibly flayed ones or pariahs

Dr Who and Amy ordered from crooked dice ;) out of uniform, nicer figure I think, even though it's not sculpted by Kev White!

Question for you all, opinions please.
The daleks from BTD are old school daleks (ie classic Who) should I paint them up in old school colours, RTD Doctor Who or I-Dalek colours?

This should help with your choices:

I like the newer schemes, they look more balanced. Though of course it does look like there is more choice with the older schemes.

I would say new

if your useing old school darleks, go old paint, if useing new darleks, go new. And if you r useing both tpyes, then use a mix depending on what units they represent

Yeah the new daleks are all multicoloured and happy.
I think they were in an episode of the last series.
