A Tale of Muppet Gaming

To mark the launch of WFB8, a few of us are starting new armies, starting at 750 points and then growing in 250 point blocks.

James Naylor has stepped up to the plate.

Better go build some more toys.

Chaps - looking ahead to November's deadline, and I have some bad news... thanks to work travel I'm going to be away for the 9th and 16th, irretrievably out of the country. Is there any way around this (like presenting the finished painting challenge on the 2nd), or is it auto-fail?

I dont particularly mind, presenting it earlier seems sensible.

Pretty harsh to auto fail you if you have achieved it ahead of schedule

Does this mean we have to have 1500 points painted by the 2nd November then?

I doubt it. I suspect that Phil can present his 1500 early to avoid losing out.

Yeah, that was my hope. Is November/1500pts the last stop on the journey, or is there another one in December?

1750 points on 14th December. Of course, if you're taking the same army to RR, you'll have to be all done by then anyways.

Wow thats a jump to conclusion :) I meant that Phil could submit earlier without losing out. You can too if you are going to miss the natural date. It doesnt mean we all have to get it done by that date.

Remember it is the painting milestone this week coming (12th), that means 5 models to paint for me and a bit of work basing my units.

I like to grab the wrong end of the stick and give ity a shake sometimes. Keeps everyone on thier toes ;) Being a smidge cynical on the odd occasion I thought this was a sneaky date change to screw us over making us miss painting deadlines thus saving club money!
