They are all looking very good Les, the highlighting is very good and adds to the dynamic of the models. The freehand on the banner is very good.

Gotta ask, what the hell is the Uvvawun supposed to be armed with? Is that a greatweapon because it looks far too big for him to pickup let alone swing with accuracy :)

It always makes me laugh when I see boarboys, the boys always look too big to be pig riding.

Badgutz looked across da blasted heath not beleevin' 'is scoutin' party. On da uvva side of da river was more boyz and not lotz ov dead fings! Dese ova ladz woz all dressed funny, in porple but Badutz fort it wud be a good idea to 'reecroot' sum ov dem to replace da ladz dat 'ad gone missin' after fighting da ratz.

We 'eaded over to discuss terms wiv da boss of dem but were mortyfied to discova dey was annuvva tribe trying to expand into our turf! Dey called 'emselves "da Purple 'oomie eaterz." Needless to saye Badgutz woz nott impressed. Da order woz given, "We'll see 'oos bestest! Get 'em ladz!"
Da purppel boyz ran off to organise dere battle plans, but it wouldn't matta wot they did, wese woz gonna giv 'em a hidin!

Da cowardlee warboss of da purplee 'oomie eaterz woz either to scared or overconfident to face us at de start of de battle and stood watchin' from afar as 'is chariot ladz careered around da rooinns to get at de 'oundz of waagh 'oo countercharged it, sendin' it back da way it came. 'course dey ran it down but only after a loony gobbo fell from da skye skwishing a wolf and da boy on top.
De savage orcs oo woz part of de uvva tribe shot at da pricklee boyz 'oo moved forwardz to take da fight to 'em.
Da Shooty ladz saw a funnee lookin machine flinging gobbos into da sky across da river and 'Da 'Uvvawun' decided to go and investygate.
Da bolda urla flung a rock at da savage orcs skwishin' a few.
Majikkflinga decided da best fing 'ee could do woz to 'ide in da rooinns in da middle ov da battlefield. From ere 'ee pzzapped a number of da savage orcs makin' badgutz much 'appier wiv im.

At dis poynt da uvva general must've seen dat wivout 'is 'elp then 'is ladz woz gonna get pasted, coz 'ee turned up wiv a shaman, a fella wavin' a stoopidly big banna and a load of gobbos in purple robez. As dey approached da battle line dey flung two loonies at da 'oundz of waagh. One of wich 'urtled throo em knockin' ladz flyin' everywhere before 'ee landed in da river. Da uvver loonie whirled strait past and landed strait in da riva 'SPLOOSH!'
Meanwhile da savage orcs charged da Pricklee boyz only to bounce off. An angry but 'appy Badgutz and da rest of de ladz ran 'em down.

Da shootee ladz crossed da river to get to da warmachine, as did da last of da 'oundz of waagh (de purple shaman had zapped sum of dem wiv s magicks).
Da bolda 'urla skwished sum of da big unit of gobbos surrounding da uvva general.
Majjickflinga repeeted 'is trick from da last battle! Dere was a loud 'POP!' and a 'uge cloud of green smoke. A load of purple gobbos cort fire and a bemused lookin' majicflingga started wonderin' about (he couldn't rememba anyfink after dis battle eiver!)

Da 'oundz of waagh and da shootee ladz charged da warmachine killin' da krew. Da uvvawun took notes 'bout the machine tho' as he knew Badgutz would like one of dese in da army. Da oundz of waagh turned around ready to 'elp da pricklee ladz 'gainst da purple gobbos (all dat woz left ov da uvver armee!) but dey needn't 'av bovvered, as all dat happened woz that da river washed all but one of da wolves away downstreem.
Meenwhile da purple gobbos charged at da pricklee ladz only to get annialated! De last we saw was dere flag waver draggin' their mortally wounded general away from da battlefield.

We'd fumped 'em real good. Dey know now dat da Skulltakaz is de bestest tribe and da waagh is back on track. All we need to do now is get out of da barrows wivout runnin' into any ded fings!

thanks, oddly enough the highlighting looks far better in real life as it's not as harsh. I need a better camera

Of course it's a great weapon!! It's a chuffin' big rock on a stick! (In bigger games it may be used as walloper's one hit wunda) He only needs to swing it once, what he hits, stays hit!

Yeah, the older models have that feel. The newer ones are much better though

I really like the painting on display here - very nice highlighting, brings a lot to it. They're going to look fantastic on the tabletop!

Badgutz looked acroos da plain, a mixture of worry, fear and anger warring for position on 'is face. Da battle wiv da purple oomie eaterz 'ad delayed us so dat we woz goin' to have to spend anuvva night in da barrowlands. Dis and de fact dat dere was an orcish totem on da far side of da river which reminded us all of da escape from da loony black orc Gladragz and 'is tribe, woz makin' us nervous.. surrounded by ded fings and de possibility dat our previous warboss might be nearby wozn't good.

At least we woz stayin' in some 'oomie ruins for da night. Sentries were posted and most of da ladz hunkered around da camp fires for da night, we woz all waitin' for mornin' so dat we could get out of dis orrible place and make our way into da 'oomies farmlands for some propa pillagin'.

We fort we'd made it frough da night as dawn slowly lit up da valley but we woz all dismayed to see dat da sunlight was bouncin' off of da eadz of 3 blocks of skeletons movin frough da valley towards us.
Lookin' somewhat greyer den normal Badgutz mobylised da lads ready to fight our way froo and out of da far side of da valley.

31 gobbos and a war machine to paint, 43 gobbos and a warmachine to base...no pressure :shifty:
