If you fancy a game just stick a note up on the board and someone will take you up on it, easiest way to get back into it or there's quite often some doubles games going on if you want some support!:)

Hey,

I'm Connor, Not actually been down to Sad muppets yet.
Play Warhammer 40k and fantasy, and am interested in roleplaying games like Cthulu and World of darkness.

Might see you guys in the near future.

Hi

I have been out of the hobby for a few years, although I did return briefly at the beginning of WHFB 7. I used to play against my kids and supported them in the hobby and enjoyed it muchly =)

When they drifted away, so did I but was loathe to get rid of the armys or books. I recently came across a box of my old mini's and the old flame has been reignited... unfortunately I have been greeted with incredulity from the kids at getting it all out again. Alas it appears I am a sad old bugger.

Is it ok if I pop in one Tuesday evening to have a chat and mooch before I get out my armies and begin the slog to muster the rank and finish painting them?

While I am at it, I have a couple of non-standard armies and wasn't sure if they were acceptable for friendlies. They are a Celtic themed 'Albion' army based on the 6th ed Beastmen rules (using Celtos mini's), a 'Kroot Mercenaries' army... although I wasn't really a 40k player, and my sons Zombie Pirates army that I converted for him that he might let me play if he doesn't sell em :( I must admit that I am not a proactive painter and most are unpainted, but I'm hoping to get on with this.

Cheers, Pete

Cheers, that will make a few things easier. I popped into GW in town today to see if any army books and stuff I have is current, but only 2 army books are still current... guess I am gonna be a big lurker on ebay for a few weeks for the WHFB (& 40K maybe ) rulebook and possibly Beastmen army book to start with. Does anyone know if an all Kroot force is playable under the Tau Codex in current 40k? I don't mind if its not that viable... I will probably play like a stranded jellyfish so an uber force is likely to dribble off the table anyway ;)

I hope to pop down for a reccy in a couple of weeks, but wont have a chance to sort anything out before then for gaming so will probably only be a whirlwind visit if thats ok.

Thanks, Pete

I'd love to see the kroot list get updated but I'm afraid it is long gone.

Ah well, that's a shame I was looking forward to finishing them off. Guess that makes them an ebay lot then

Thanks for getting back to me.

Hi all,

I'm Ian, was involved in SMS back in 2006 but was lured away from humble Basingstoke by the bright lights of London Town. But now I'm back, (for a few months at least) and I'm ready to get my toys out again. I thought I'd drop in last week to see what was happening, and was glad to see that Muppets are still sharing the joys of 40k, although it's moved on a bit since I last played. I even managed to sneak a game in, thanks to Dave O-J and his Grey Knights.

I have in my possession a number of 40k and WFB armies, most of them still shamefully lacking in paint, so would be happy to re-aquaint myself with the intricacies of tabletop warfare at any given point in the weeks and months ahead, should the opportunity present itself. But my main interest is in what used to be known as specialist games - Blood Bowl and Necromunda - so if there's ever any of that going, I'll take a slice.

Hi all,

New guy here, due to finally finishing up work related study recently I am hoping to have a lot more free time and so want to start playing with my toy soldiers a bit more. I've only had the odd game here and there for the last few years but play 40K and fantasy.

I've got a Blood Angel army and Guard and Tyranids for 40K and Lizardmen and Wood Elves for fantasy, aim to drop in to club night over the next couple of weeks with one or other of the armies.

Cheers

Richard
I've got a bad feeling about this...
